A tournament victory to remember; the U11 Boys made Skippers history by winning the regional IAPS tournament at Bede’s today! The team played 4 group matches, winning 3 and losing 1 game, topping a very competitive group.
They played a semi-final against Holmewood House which ended 0-0. The boys won the resulting penalty shootout, setting up a final against Cumnor House.
A back and forth game ended 2-2, with the final penalty shootout ending with Dilan heroically saving 2 out of 3 penalties, giving Skippers the title!
Amazing goals, saves, defending and determination was on display all afternoon. Mr Young is immensely proud of all the boys for their efforts and becoming history makers! Their amazing feat has meant Skippers has qualified for the Nationals in November.
Congratulations not only to our boys but to all the teams who played and represented their schools today.
A big thank you to @bedes.sport for hosting. 🎉🥇⚽️🤩
