Extra-Curricular Clubs
Life at Skippers extends well beyond the classroom where extra-curricular clubs, trips and activities enrich children’s experiences, developing the skills they will need to thrive as adults in the 21st century.
A key strength of Skippers is the outstanding quality and enviable variety of our extra-curricular programme which is offered to children in both the Pre-Prep and Prep School.
“The contribution of curricular and extra-curricular provision is excellent”
With their parents, our children select their own clubs each term from an extensive list which changes according to the season, the skills and interests of the staff and requests from the children themselves. Our children are encouraged to try new clubs as they may discover a talent or passion they never knew existed. Skippers takes advantage of the beautiful grounds and facilities and also take children off-site for clubs such as horse riding.
The aim of our extra-curricular programme is to help develop the potential that many children have in areas beyond the academic curriculum and to provide opportunities for children to celebrate their successes, by performing and exhibiting their individual talents. This may be whizzing down the hill on a mountain bike or competing to become the next fencing Olympic champion!
What makes Skippers so special is that our children are thoroughly engaged and enthused both inside and outside the classroom.
Wraparound Care
Our Breakfast Club runs daily, allowing parents to drop their children off from 7:30am each morning. Children can enjoy a selection of breakfast options, providing a substantial and nutritious start to their day.
There is no need to pre-book, so children can use the Breakfast Club whenever they need to. The charge to use this service per child is £2.50 per day.
Our after school provision enables children to remain at school until 5:45pm.
